If you're given a responsibility, freaking give it your all.

Hey guys!

Have you ever been given a huge responsibility?

Have you ever felt that you need to give your very best for the task given to you?

I was a Head of Department for logistics when I was in the Boys' Brigade. ( A school organization, a uniform group. ) ( and I still am, though as a volunteer. )

Holding that position, I was often tasked with huge events, responsibilities. Of course, being the ambitious me, I would do my best because doing so would help me in promotions!

However, that encouraged me to do my best or give it my all when tasked with responsibilities. Be it big or small, with a reward or none, tough or easy.

However time to time, thanks to that strange habit if mine, I would often get angry when others give a " I don't give a shit " attitude.

Speaking of which, I recently saw the king of " I don't give a shit ".

I was dining with my Mum at a coffee shop the other night, we were enjoying the company of each other and this happens.

We were done with our meals and usually cleaners will come and clear the dishes.

We didn't really bother with it, but after a while I realized that the dishes were still there after like an hour. ( I mean since we live in Singapore, we talk about efficiency here. And an hour is a long long time )

Then I spotted the cleaner, so I signaled him to help with the clearing. He obviously made eye contact with me ( not making a romance novel here ), he blatantly pretend to not see me and turned his head.

My Mum being the nice person ( also, she's a waitress, so she understands how a cleaner feels. ) she helped cleaned up the mess and left with one pile of stacked plates.

Some thing like this.

So all there's to do was to collect!

I being the annoying prick, I continued to stare at him. That "hardworking" cleaner just stood there and enjoyed the view.
Haha, why censor bar when you can have 3D glasses!

Initially, I thought my table was the only one, it was freaking EVERYWHERE! All tables were dirty and to be honest, it wasn't even a peak timing, so there wasn't a lot if customers.

I was complaining to my Mum about him, but my Mum explained why he would have the " I don't give a shit " attitude.

First, he might be tired. I mean to be fair, it happens to all of us. I remember I can be so drained that I couldn't do shit.

Secondly, the boss might be over-working him. Honestly, I knew the boss of the coffee shop, and he is a super cheapskate. Mr Miser if I may say.

However, be it reasonable or not, I really do not expect such cases as it really ruins the mood for anyone.

Also, this coffee shop is a rip-off. Their things are the price of meals at a food court. So I expect some sort of decent service. ( at least cleaning of plates right? )

Alright, I know this post might seem like a complain post. And... It is. Haha!

If you guys like, I might make a " Singaporean complains " section.
