Lepak.

Hey guys,

I'm posting this post on the mobile app and I'll see how this goes.

Haha! So sorry if it's done badly. :D

Today's topic is "LEPAK".

*from 9Gag Singapore.

To all Singaporeans, we all love to Lepak.
You try asking around la! (Can differentiate Singaporeans and Foreign Worker, 'cause all of them want to earn money and move on. No time to Lepak)

To those that aren't familiar with "LEPAK", it is a Malay word that means Hang out. (Or that's what google translate says.)

See! I didn't lie hor!

But, we singapore teenagers don't use that word as it is. We can use that word as an verb( action word ) or an adjective( descriptive word for people or things ).

For example, I like to dress Lepak ( and I really do )

It means dressed comfortably and casually.
But that doesn't mean wearing your underwear and go out.

To guys, it's usually flip flop, Bermudas and tee shirt. ( High five from guys out there? )

Or we can use it as it is. Lets go Lepak.

It means do nothing, or slack.
A Singaporean favorite past time!

Personally, I like to Lepak( I mean who doesn't? Haha! ), but at times when it's necessary to be serious, I would be serious.

Lepak is good in some ways but too much of Lepaking, you'll just rot your brains.
Where as too serious will tend to get you too uptight. So it's best to get a balance with both Lepaking and being serious.

In this tiny red dot, Lepak might not be an option to some. 'Cause if you Lepak, you'll lose out. We're a asian country, so students would wanna be first and adults would wanna be having a career of theirs.

I believe that someday I'll get so busy that I'll forget how to Lepak and have fun.

So in the meanwhile, why not rot my ass out? Haha!

So tweet me any comments @awesome_jasper and you'll might be on my next post!

If this post goes well, I might end up posting from my phone and that means I'll post more than one post per week!

So till next time, stay awesome and rock on!
