5 perks of living in Singapore.

Hey Guys,

So Singapore's birthday is around the corner! (P.s, I did my draft before 9 August!)

(Haha, lame jokes plus bad picture editing skills.)

So I decided to add on to the joyous occasion by telling the world the 5 perks of living in Singapore!

For those Singaporeans that says that there's nothing to be proud of, search deeper, you know you're proud of her somewhere.

FYI, the PAP did not pay me to say all these. Though some sponsorship would be nice.

So lets begin!

1. Our History.

Though we don't have a very rich history like the United States ( who have participated in unknown number of wars ) , we do have a remarkable history.

We began with a small fish village to the big city we have.

If you don't think that's remarkable, you try making a fishing village to a city la!

2. We're small.

Small in terms of land size, not other things.

Some or rather all, wouldn't find it something remarkable. However, because of our land size, we can manage to travel around the red dot with just public transportation.

Saving that Carbon footprints!

Though having a car would be great...haha!

3. We're a food paradise.

Thanks to our wide variety of culture, we bring along our culture's cuisine. We can enjoy Chinese, Malay, Indian and Western cuisine in just one small coffee shop.

Not only that, we have so much Singapore's pride like Chicken Rice, Rojak and much more.
All of them have their own version like Indian Rojak or just Rojak.

*Rojak is a Singapore salad with a bunch of baked dough products and tropical fruits, top with shrimp paste.

4. We're all just like Rojak!

Like the tasty Singapore salad, we're about the same.

We all might come from different race or religion, but when we come together, we're just right.

In our warm and familiar HDB flat, there's no such thing as one block for a race, we have all races living together in the same block.

In the midst of it, we've developed our own unique culture that no one can take away.

5. Government.

Though I can't really say that I support the Government , I have to say that our Government is rather decent.

Like that they are transparent about their revenue or how they tackle different questions raised by the people.

Also, majority of them doesn't have corruption issues.
(Though it's ironic how a corruption officer just embezzled the public finds recently)

It's true, that people working in the government sector receive a big paycheck. However, because we pay them enough, there's less corruption compared to others.

I mean if you pay a police officer $800 per month, how can you expect them not to accept bride?

With that, I hope you can see how Singapore is a beautiful country in a teenager's point of view.
I hope you all of you will be able enjoy the nation's birthday.

Happy National Day!

So till next time, stay awesome and rock on.

P.S, sorry for the short post, big exams are coming and I don't want to make you guys miss out!
