I'm sure that you guys have a fictional hero that you guys all like. Some might be Iron Man, Thor or Batman. While some might be Edward Cullen, Percy Jackson or Katniss Everdeen.
As a kid, I would like to fantasies myself in different imaginary world. Like if I was Batman, my parents died and I was hella rich. Or if Pokemon actually did exist, which Pokemon will be my favorite and why none of the Professor can determine my gender...
As a kid, one of my favorite fantasies would be the Power Rangers. Not the new RPM or funny ( as in weird ) Samurai series, but the old classics like from Mighty Morphin and Wildforce.
Trust me, all power rangers fans fangirled a bit during this scene.
However, recently I've been thinking which super hero would be my all time favorite, or rather specifically heroes that are in the Marvel or DC.
Then I figure that CAPTAIN AMERICA would be my all time favorite hero.
Haha, Just making some stereotyping jokes here.
This is my hero~AH~~
To the extent I bought some of it's merch.
This is my awesome Captain America hoodie.
And my Captain America Phone Cover.
(Do note, I wasn't sponsored in any of the picture, BUT ANY SPONSORS IS VERY WELCOMED HERE~!)
*Nerd Time on!
Personally, I prefer DC comics over Marvel since DC provides much more out of the box stories. Stories that would make people really wish that they were in the story.
For example, the Green Lantern series, The Darkest Night and Brightest Day. The story was so good, that I instantly fell in love with it. I even bought a RED LANTERN sticker for my Laptop.
Honestly, I have never read any of the comics on Captain America, I've watched all his movie though. (It's kinda hard to find the comics free online.)
However, I like Captain America not because of his comic, but because of what he stand for, what he did.
1. Captain America is a major hipster.
Also, only he has the super soldier serum. Nobody else has it. NOBODY. HAHA, what a hipster.
(The doctor that made the serum refused to write down the recipe and he died after getting assassinated. What a selfish doctor!)
2. He loved his country very much.
During the World War II, he tried multiple times to be enrolled into the army, but he failed because of his weak body. Though he was rejected time after time, he never gave up. That's some determination!
3.He doesn't die easily.
Other than the fact he had the serum inside of him, in real life, Captain America's series was cut off for sometime after the post war period in 1954. However, you still see his comics in comic shop today right?
The captain lives on forever!
*Inside joke: In the movies, Chris Evans played as both the Human Torch and Captain America. In the comics, when Captain America was cut off, the Human Torch was the one to start bring the Captain back.
So the joke is that whoever that made those films wanted to linked both the Human Torch and Captain America.
4. He was a symbol of hope.
Captain America was published during the WWII. It showed Captain America hitting Adolf Hitler in the face, many see that as a hope during a difficult time.
5. He was a out-cast.
Captain America came from a humble beginning, both his parents died before he was a teen. (Seems like in order to become a super hero, your parents must die first. HAHA.)
He was scrawny, and the things that he stand for made him an outcast.
He was made fun of when he first entered the army camp.
He's kinda like me, an outcast, but I'm still hoping that one day I will be as great as Captain America.
So who's your favorite fictional hero and why?
So till next time, stay awesome and rock on.
